As we all know, the back pain often leads us to be frustrated and less able to enjoy our quality of life. Most cases of back pain are caused by minor injuries, sprains, strains or pinched or irritated nerves. If this is the case, and the back pain does not improve with home treatment, acupuncture can increase the blood flow to the damaged area and invigorate the healing process immediately.
To date, over 5,000 scientific studies have been performed on acupuncture treatments. These studies have proved that acupuncture can treat the symptoms and relieve pain, however the science still cannot explain why the acupuncture treatment is successful for pain release and its mechanism of action.
Some studies identified a subset of neurons that must trigger an anti-inflammatory response via this nerve pathways as a result of the acupuncture treatment.
Some other researchers reported that electroacupuncture could reduce a cytokine storm.
On the other hand, practitioners of such well-known systems as Scalp Acupuncture, Master Tung Acupuncture, Dr. Tan Balance Method, or Dr. Slate Burris’ Neoclassical Acupuncture never place a needle in a painful area. Instead, the practitioner uses the logic of the current acupuncture method and often inserts the needle into the area furthest from the pain.
We have to admit that there is much more work for the scientific researchers to discover in the Mysterious Work of the ancient mastery!
